Sarnath is one of the four pilgrimages of Buddhist. Sarnath is situated 12 km away from Varanasi. After attaining the enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, Lord Buddha came to Sarnath and gave his first preaching here in the Deer Park.
Sarnath has previously been known as Mrigadava, ‘deer park’ and Isipatana, meaning the place where holy men fell to earth. The current name Sarnath, from Saranganath, means ‘Lord of the Deer’. In the 3rd century BC, emperor Ashoka visited Sarnath and raises stupa, monasteries as well as an engraved pillar. Take a step back into ancient history of Gautama Buddha.

Day 01: Arrival Varanasi
Welcome by our tour executive on arrival at the airport/railway station. You will be boarded to Sarnath. Check-in the hotel. Overnight haul at hotel.
Day 02: Sarnath
After breakfast, proceed to visit- Dhammek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Tibetan Temple,
Ashoka Pillar and Archaeological Museum. Overnight haul at hotel.
Day 03: Departure
After breakfast, visit to Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Deer Park, Archaeological & Excavation Area and Thai Temple.
Later proceed for onward destination with the memories of the journey.
